The Creative Heartbeat Citrus Heights Deserves
Citrus Heights Arts has been talking about an arts district since 2022 not just as a dream, but as a real path toward transforming the city with culture, color, and community energy. Then in 2023, everything shifted. We traveled to El Paso for the Neighborhoods USA Conference, and what we saw there lit a fire. Their art, their community identity, their sense of place. It showed us exactly what Citrus Heights could become. It wasn’t just inspiring; it was clarifying. We came home knowing one thing: It couldn't wait anymore!
Creating Something Powerful
Over the past few years we realized that we didn't need to wait for permission! So in June of 2025, we jumped! No big announcement, no perfect timing just a decision to start building the CH-40 Arts District with our own hands, our own community, our own money and our own voice. Over the past few months, the Arts District went from concept to movement. Eighteen murals have already gone up. Each one telling a story, strengthening community pride, and pushing Citrus Heights closer to the vibrant, creative city we know it can be!

The CH-40 Arts District is becoming a signature part of who we are a place for artists, for families, for visitors, for anyone who wants to feel the pulse of a city in transformation.
